Halloween
The much awaited pictures from Halloween. Lincoln didn't so much like his Giraffe costume so when it was time to go trick or treating we put on his soccer uniform as a backup. He had such a good time and ate way too much candy (ok so maybe Mom and Dad ate most of the candy)!

Soup
Thought it was time to post something new on our blog. We have been making soup lately since the weather has been pretty chilly. Also, gives Kelly a way to practice the techniques she's been learning in cooking class.
Lincoln just loves eating soup and he insists on feeding himself these days. Hope you enjoy this video of dinner time last week.

We got a Walker!
On Tuesday Lincoln officially started walking! He surprised me (mom) when I went to daycare to pick him up, such an exciting moment. We haven't been able to capture him on video yet, he's pretty quick and we just get so caught up watching him go. Thought we'd share the fun news with everyone!
The picture is his "yo, what up?" pose.

Some Maine Photos
Here is a little preview of our wonderful trip to main in early August. We had a great time visiting with our friends Chris, Rachel and William (aka Willibum). Our friends Ariel and Peter were so nice to let us use their vacation home as our base. It is a beautiful house and Lincoln just loved the huge staircase!

Weekend in St Louis
Such fun exploring Forest Park and Downtown this weekend. Saturday we headed downtown to see the famous Arch and the beautiful grounds nearby (saw at least 10 wedding photo sessions). On Sunday we had a nice breakfast with Sarah and Josh and then took their advice and went to the Zoo. Lincoln says it best for all of us and just loved watching the Elephants!

Supporting Operation Breakthrough http://www.operationbreakthrough.org/
We were so happy to help support such a great cause and love visiting the Farmstead. There were all kinds of good food (pizza, pasta, ice cream to name a few) and after we finished eating we had to walk that all off. Good thing the farmstead has lots of walking paths where we got to see all the animals and then rest our feet by a waterfall.

Latest Update
We then had a great weekend with Derek's dad, visiting the WW1 museum, seeing the Wizards win a game and playing golf on Sunday. The boys were really tired after walking the very hilly course for 18 holes and took a bit of a catnap on the couch. That's what lazy Sunday afternoons were made to do. Lincoln was a super talker this weekend and had lots to tell Grandpa, they laughed and carried on for hours. All the pictures with Grandpa are on his camera so this one of Dad and baby will have to do for now.

The Weekend
Japanese Food Experience

Kansas City Triathalon at Longview Lake

Lincoln had a great time at this place where you can sit on the floor, which for him meant crawl all around and greet the other diners.
Be1 5K Race
We had an early morning on Saturday - 6am to help volunteer for the Race. Lincoln and Kelly helped register contestants while Derek set the race course and did all sorts of other odd jobs. It was a great time and we all had so much fun. If you'd like to learn more about Be1 then feel free to check out their website: http://www.be1kc.org/
We had another early morning on Sunday (5am) to take Derek to his first traithalon since completing the Iron Man Lake Placid 4 years ago. Derek did really well on the race and finished in just over 3 hours. The bike was the roughest part since it was so hilly and he really hasn't been riding long distances lately. Lincoln was so proud of his daddy and was sure to give him some big toothy grins.
